Welcome... Nokomis Chef and co-owner Sean Lewis creates menu selections which range from the classics to new cuisine. Menus change often to capture the best of what is seasonal, fresh and (often) local. Nokomis takes pride in preparing and presenting food that pleases both eye and palate. Dining room and bar provide panoramic views of Lake Superior and our fireplace makes for cozy winter dining. We focus wine selections of our wine shop on wines from around the world -- Europe, North America, South America, South Africa, New Zealand and Australia. Our selections are a mix of wines from small artisanal labels and well-known vineyards The price points are primarily "everyday" ($10.00 - $20.00) and "special occasion" ($21.00 - $50.00) categories. If you enjoy a wine in our dining room, you can find it in our Wine Shop. If you have a favorite wine you would like us to stock, please ask. |
Meet the Chef.... Sean Lewis did his culinary training in Nashville, and after graduation moved to Chicago to hone his skills. He worked under Chef Jean Joho at The Everest Room, opened the Big Downtown for the Palmer House Hilton, also in Chicago, opened the Metro Bar & Grill in Naperville, IL, and served as Food and Beverage Manager for properties in a large hotel chain. He moved to Duluth to raise his children near family and to enjoy the hunting, fishing and beauty of Northeast Minnesota. Sean looks forward to sharing his passion for food and flavor with you at Nokomis where you can relax and enjoy a fabulous meal with a view of Lake Superior to match! |
