UW-Superior Athletics and Wessman Arena have announced multiplatinum-selling country artist Justin Moore is coming to campus for a one-night only concert Thursday, September 6, 2018. Moore's performance will headline the show at Wessman Arena that will include special guests Whiskey Trail and Nora Collins.
Moore broke through with his self-titled debut album in 2009 that reached No.3 on the U.S. charts. Following his debut Moore's next three albums – Outlaws Like Me (2011), Off the Beaten Path (2013), and Kinda Don't Care (2016) have reached No. 1. Moore's new album is scheduled for release in early 2019.
Moore's current single and the title track of his latest album, "Kinda Don't Care" sits in the Top 20 and is climbing up the Country Mediabase charts. The Valory Music Group artist, who is an Emmy nominee and an ACM Award winner has produced seven No. 1 singles in his career.
"After a pair of successful concerts last year, we are excited to be able to bring Justin Moore, one of the biggest names on the country music circuit to our campus," said UW-Superior Athletics Director Nick Bursik. "Bringing a national recording artist to campus is an exciting way for our students, campus, and community to kick off the 2018-19 year."
Wessman Arena doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Whiskey Trail will open the show at 7:00 p.m., followed by Collins at 8:00 p.m. Moore will close out the show with a set beginning at 9:15 p.m.
Ticke price is $30 in advance for the general public.
Tickets can be purchased on campus at Wessman Arena and the UW-Superior athletics office (Marcovich Wellness Center 2408). In Duluth tickets will be available at the Electric Fetus (12 East Superior Street). Tickets can also be purchased online through TwinportsNightlife.com.
