Gopher Hole Comedy Club Friday Night Showcase: Headliner Jodie Maruska

Jodie Maruska is a comedy veteran who has performed across the country in clubs, events, casinos, a few backyards and one very damp root cellar. In the Twin Cities she appears regularly at the House of Comedy at the Mall of America and the Comedy Underground along with a large selection of one nighter venues. In June 2025 she won the "Funniest Headliner" contest at Gambit Brewing and was recently part of the "Best of the Fest" show in the 10,000 Laughs Comedy Festival! Jodie has appeared with such icons as Louie Anderson, Diane Ford, Jason Schommer, Rich Hall, Beth Stelling, and Jackie Fabulous. She appeals to audiences of all ages and used her "Minnesota Nice" demeanor to unexpected comedic effect. Just don't ask her to appear in a root cellar again.

 

 

Jethro Trogo is a Filipino stand-up comedian whose sets are marked by frequent, well-timed punchlines drawn from his experiences as a first-generation immigrant and a second-time English speaker. He is the winner of the 2025 Funniest Person in St. Paul Contest. He has opened for Steve Byrne and Sam Tripoli. Based in Minnesota, he features regularly at the House of Comedy, Minneapolis, and has performed on stages across Asia and the United States, including Magners International Comedy Festival - Asia.

 

 

Dustin and comedy have taken off running. Only figuratively, Dustin doesn't run. He has entered several comedy competitions and won none, which goes to show if at first you don’t succeed at least you’re used to losing. He has shared the stage with multiple comics who have shared the stage with other comics who have shared the stage with some of the comedy greats. He is the Host and Producer of the Gopher Hole Comedy Club in Duluth, MN, finished 2nd in the 2024 Twin Ports Funniest Person Contest, and was part of the All-Star Showcase at the 2025 Loons on the Lake Comedy Festival. Dustin performs and produces shows throughout the Midwest. His stories will have you laughing at life and the silly things that happen.
